EMDR therapy power-packed into an intensive format to fast-track your healing journey.

Life has been a delicate balancing act leaving you with minimal time to truly heal those deep wounds.

You want to live your life free from problem narratives, but instead you find yourself grasping for control to manage life’s ups and downs. You beat yourself up for making mistakes because you feel that you won’t be loved if you can’t be perfect. You’re angry at the fact that you were robbed of your childhood because those that were supposed to love, protect, and care for you misused their power and authority and now you are left to pick up the pieces.

You have struggled to be consistent with weekly therapy because of your busy schedule. Or maybe it is hard to face the tough stuff week after week. You have beat yourself up because your therapy hour is your primary source of self-care, but you are not seeing the results as quickly as you need and want to. You desperately want to feel better now because you have been in this space for so long. You are ready to take back control of your life, but you are not sure how.

The same powerful EMDR, but in a new power-packed format.

EMDR therapy is an effective treatment because of the way it allows your brain to do the healing. We are able to dig deeper because your brain can help you identify and move through the stuff that has kept you stuck. Those deep rooted problems like anxiety, perfectionism, childhood abuse and neglect, self-criticism, etc. can be addressed with EMDR. Although EMDR can work more quickly than talk therapy, it still may take weeks or months to feel better. This makes EMDR intensives even more powerful than standard EMDR therapy because you can accelerate the healing process.

EMDR Intensive Therapy can help you feel better faster.

EMDR Intensive therapy is a way of accelerating the healing that would typically take place at a slower rate within the traditional weekly therapy format. An intensive therapy session compresses the work of weeks or months into one to three days of extended processing sessions. Because of the intensive’s concentrated format, it allows you to dive deeper into your therapeutic work. Therefore, you can see results more quickly because of the extended processing time.

EMDR Intensives can help you:

  • Change deep rooted problem patterns or behaviors.

  • Resolve painful childhood experiences.

  • Create lasting changes in your life and relationships.

  • Learn to show up authentically in relationships without feeling guilty.

  • Learn to quiet your inner critic.

  • See yourself and others with more compassion and kindness.

  • Increase your insight into how your past has impacted your current life.

I understand how challenging it can be when you are trying to manage your never-ending to-do list and heal at the same time. Often it is the healing that gets put on the back burner because there are other “pressing” things to address.  Or maybe the work required to heal seems too overwhelming. EMDR Intensive Therapy is customized to fit your individual needs and can help you do deep work with minimal disruption to your life and schedule. It can help you compress the amount of time you have to sit with the tough stuff so you can focus on what you love.

EMDR Intensive Therapy is a short-term therapy investment that can yield long-term and lasting results.

What does the EMDR Intensive process look like?

  • We will meet for 20-minutes to discuss any preliminary questions you may have and discuss how intensive therapy can help you accomplish your goals. If we are a good fit, we will schedule your intensive package.

  • After our consultation, I will send you your personalized client workbook to complete prior to the pre-intensive interview session. This workbook will help me get to know you so we can intentionally work towards your goals during our time together. It also has a lot of resources that you can utilize before, during, and after your intensive.

  • We will meet for 90-minutes to identify what has led you to choose intensive therapy and discuss your goals for the intensive session(s). We will complete some assessments together and lay the foundation for your EMDR intensive. We will discuss the coping skills that have been helpful to you and practice some new skills.

  • We will meet for 60-minutes to complete your preparation. I will answer any lingering questions you may have about the intensive session(s) and we will practice utilizing foundational skills needed for the intensive.

  • The big day(s)! We will work together for 3-hours a day to address the targets we selected in the pre-intensive interview so you can feel better sooner rather than later.

  • We will meet for 60-minutes after the intensive session to discuss insights, reflect on the process, discuss next steps, and celebrate your growth!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • EMDR Intensives are a great way to address concerns like anxiety, perfectionism, childhood abuse and neglect, self criticism, feelings of inadequacy, and trauma just to name a few. If your concerns still have an “emotional sting” today you can accelerate your healing within an EMDR Intensive.

When we meet for our pre-intensive interview, we will determine what specific problem or concerns you would like to address. Your personalized treatment plan will create the framework for our time together during the intensive session(s).

  • Your results will depend upon the extent of your trauma history or issue you are trying to address. However, intensive packages are structured to provide you with the skills you need to get the most out of our work together. This means we can dive deep during our intensive day(s) to create space for positive, lasting changes.

Although I cannot make any guarantees that all your symptoms will be resolved, you will accelerate your healing process and experience lasting changes. It truly will be a transformative experience!

  • Yes it is! I have an option to reserve a space for your intensive located in Warner Robins, GA. If you are interested in this option please let me know.

  • I know that the investment in an intensive package is a big cost upfront, but in the long run it may be more cost effective than weekly therapy. Within the traditional therapy format, we would have 50 minutes to check in, begin EMDR processing, utilize coping skills to contain the work, and wrap up the session.

As a result, the processing phase of the session has to compete with the other phases of the session. Within the intensive format we have a three-hour time frame to dedicate to your concerns. Plus, instead of having to wait months to feel better, you can experience the same results in a matter of days.

  • Your insurance may reimburse some of the cost of the pre-intensive interview, pre-intensive preparation, and post-intensive session. However the cost of the intensive day(s) is generally not covered by insurance.

Please call the number on the back of your insurance card to get information about whether this is an option. I have a list of questions and tips that can help you navigate the conversation with your insurance representative linked here. If you have any other questions about this, please let me know.
